What My Camera Sees: Documenting Artists, Outsiders, and the Beautifully Bizarre

There’s a strange kind of magic in capturing people who don’t quite fit into the mold. The ones who color outside the lines, wear their weirdness with pride, and express themselves in ways the world isn’t always ready for. That’s where my lens feels most at home.

I’m Tara — a Denver-based photographer and the founder of TaraLens Media and Existential Threadzz, where I turn raw emotion, gritty beauty, and unapologetic identity into art, both in front of the camera and on fabric.
My Focus: The Unfiltered and Unusual
I don’t shoot perfect poses or polished personas. I shoot soul. I specialize in:
Alternative portraits for creatives, musicians, and rebels
Candid documentation of underground art scenes, house shows, and festival culture
Expressive visual storytelling that amplifies identity, not erases it
Whether it’s a singer screaming into the mic, a skater mid-fall with bloodied palms, or a quiet moment between friends backstage, I live for the in-between moments — messy, beautiful, real.
