If you book shooters for a living, this is the part you need. Anything marked below is a number I will confirm in writing before a job, not an estimate.
Turnaround
Standard delivery: 48–72 hours after the show. Same-night or next-morning selects on request: available for an additional fee.
Volume per show
Typical delivery for a single set: 40–75 edited images. Full festival day: 150–300 edited images. Multi-day festival: 150–300 edited images per day.
Delivery & file naming
Files named artist-event-YYYYMMDD-### so they drop straight into your system. Delivered by a private online gallery with download links. Formats: full-res JPEG, web-sized JPEG; RAW on request.
Inside a credentialed production
I work to first-three-songs rules, photo pit rotations, media check-in and tour photo restrictions. I carry two bodies specifically so I am not changing lenses in a pit on a three-song clock.
Shot as part of the Burning Man media team, and on an editorial assignment for PEOPLE at BottleRock Napa Valley with artist-lounge access.
Gear
Two full-frame Sony bodies: a7IV (main, stills and video) and a7III (second body and backup). Lenses: FE 20mm f/1.8, 24–70mm f/4, 35mm f/1.8, FE 50mm f/2.8, FE 70–200mm f/2.8. Flashes for portrait and backstage work, plus a gimbal for video.
On-camera flash and a 3-axis gimbal, plus any rental bodies or glass sourced for a specific job.
Video alongside stills
Yes. The a7IV shoots both, and I run a gimbal for moving shots. Whether stills and video come from the same call or need a second operator depends on the brief — we’ll confirm per job.
Travel
Based in Sacramento. Bay Area and Northern California without travel costs: about 100 miles. Beyond that, and for tour runs and multi-day festivals, travel is billed: at cost, itemized and agreed in advance. Notice needed: 2–3 weeks for a single show, 4–6 weeks for multi-day.
Working as part of a team
Comfortable on a larger media team, splitting stages, shooting to a shot list and handing files to someone else’s edit. That is how the Burning Man media team work ran.
